Over the course of several years we designed and produced a bi-annual magazine and annual reports for the School of Global Management and Leadership. The magazine BUSINESS@SGML aimed to put a spotlight on the school’s global outreach and also highlight new degree programs, local business leaders and faculty and alumni news. The first issue was 16 pages but quickly grew to a 24-page publication with feature stories, departments and a special alumni update section. Special type treatments and photos that spanned the spread made feature articles enticing while a mix of fonts and
photographic elements gave each issue the look of a major business publication. The school’s first annual report centered around a theme of “Igniting a Global Vision” and was a year-in-review piece that included stories of community and global engagements, student profiles and faculty accomplishments. Throughout the 20-page report we used a graphical element to represent the concept of igniting. On the cover we printed the ignite element with spot gloss varnish on satin coated sheet to provide a unique touch.
